Line 6 Helix Stadium

Seems like "hype" blurs the line somewhat between models of real world amps and L6 Original digital-only 'amps" when it goes above zero.

Will OG amps be hype-able in Stadium?

Good question. I also wish that you can just delete apps that you don’t even want in there that maybe take up space but I don’t think that’s possible according to what’s been said I just kind of wish that this was an all new product with only shouts models and effects ( are the effects even under aroura? Or is it just modeling? ?) and are any new and improved effects in it or slated to be added? Or will they just use the of helix effects?

But Agoura isn't a magic "sound better" engine; it helps us describe behavior (which is a bit nebulous—could be sound, dynamics, feel, response, etc.) better. Line 6 Originals have no baseline to determine the ideal toolset for them, because there's nothing tangible to compare them to.
Thanks for clarifying, that makes sense. I'm really excited to get my hands on it! I'm going to be keeping my Helix floor, and I want to connect them together through spdif. Am I right in assuming that there would be no ADA latency if I do that?

Considering you haven’t tried helix in like 10 years, maybe do a taste test with the existing amps and effects before you decide they all need to be dumped.

That's more up to Ben and the Sound Design team. The purpose of Line 6 Original amps is to use our existing tools to create idealized amps that don't exist (or in some cases, couldn't exist). If at any point the HX DSP tools were insufficient in describing the amp behavior Ben, Sam, or Ryan imagined in their heads, and the Agoura tools could get them notably closer, yeah, I could see that happening. Imagine you have 1000 shapes and colors of LEGOs. If you're trying to create an ultra-realistic sculpture of, say, your dog at the beach, 1000 shapes/colors may not be sufficient, but the new 5000 LEGO set might get you much closer. But if you're sculpting something abstract that doesn't exist in the real world, you could make exactly what you intend with just a handful of LEGO types. Or you could duct tape a banana-shaped LEGO to a wall and call it "Line 6 Plantainater."

If I had to guess, I'd say Sound Design will use Agoura to make all new Line 6 Originals. Still early, and we have a lot of real amps we want to model in Agoura sooner than later.

Real amps first PLEASE! There's always the Hype knob for those who don't like realism.

But a bunch of us are replacing our amp collection with the latest modelers. Through guitar cabs, it definitely works to be almost equivalent. (sorry folks, "FRFR" doesn't quite cut it)

So yeah, we need those real amps!

Definitely give Line 6 Originals through your real cabs a try. All real amps have warts; L6Os shave that crap off, and for that reason alone, they take up less DSP.

Sorry folk, it does.

Seconded. As said before, the latest ones added are all just great, the Voltage being my defnite go-to starting point for anything driven.

No worries - we can agree to disagree.

I use "FRFR" myself - but for live, I prefer a cab for primary with some added fill via wedges ('"FRFR"'). It doesn't need to be loud. I do NOT like IEMS - kills all feel.

A good guitar cab is an instrument in itself and adds a level of depth and feel that you just don't get from PA speakers. It's just different with the air moving and interactivity you get with the cab. If you don't feel the need for it, no worries :)

Fwiw, I was just making a generalizing comment because you started it.

See, I don't even disagree, but my personal experience with fullrange monitoring, while I had a kinda rough start (possibly just as anyone else), is just pretty wonderful. And IMO we could argue whether you get the same "instrument feel" from it or not. All I can say is that I just dig my stage sound more than ever before in at least 90% of all cases.
