I did a handful when the update dropped and it was pretty night and day better than before. I’m doing a pack of NAM and ToneX now and will compare the two. What do you think about the results?

Can’t wait to hear them!I did a handful when the update dropped and it was pretty night and day better than before. I’m doing a pack of NAM and ToneX now and will compare the two.
Seems I’ve totally missed the Extended thing. Where do you choose that? I’ve looked around and thought they ditched the different training levels or something.Training times have massively improved on my system (3900x with 3090 GPU). They've gone from ~40 mins to around ~30-35 mins and now approx 10-15 when all is said and done. I've always done "Advanced" training which is now "Extended". The new Modeller app is such an improvement for a bunch of reasons, credit where credit is due. ToneX captures are no longer a painful process, well done.

click on the top right hamburger then this menu will pop up.Seems I’ve totally missed the Extended thing. Where do you choose that? I’ve looked around and thought they ditched the different training levels or something.
You got to the hamburger first haha, yeah thats the one.
Thanks dean and Nathan! I think my power amp capture is OK on Optimized but the high gain caps I’m planning will def be on Extended.
I tried to do a local search of all of my own 'scoob701' and couldn't find any. Then I tried a search for 'scoob701' on tonenet and nothing. This one is a mess.
Hi All,
Been doing DI captures with the new V2 process. It feels like an improvement.
Set the Armored Sabot V3 up today and dialed it in.
I know it is inconvenient to download it from Dropbox, but I am not able to share it publicly yet on Tone.net so I appreciate the extra effort.
This amp had a rocky reception and I understand why. This V3 version of the Sabot added an extra internal gain stage that brought the input impedance up to the needed 1meg ohm.
Given this I thought many of you may be interested in trying it. This is straight in, no pedals.
Warning, this is high gain and chugs. Bring your own IR.
Let me know what you think.

Ok, I've asked this before, but here we go again (in case it just got lost): Is there any way to control multiple Tonex Ones from one central "MIDI-to-Tonex-lingo" device? The ones made by Pirate MIDI and Airstep all seem to be made to only work with one single device, and I don't feel like adding one device per each TO to my setup.
And before someone asks: No, getting a big Tonex instead doesn't really help as my main floorboard setup is based around the idea of having multiple (so far 2) physically separated devices available. Also, the fact that the TO is always in auto-save mode, is quite what my doctor ordered.
What I want would be: Use the A/B switching of the TOs to preselect patches per "channel" (the two TOs in the loops of the GT-1000 - at least as soon as the second one arrives, possibly on thursday).
I can of course do that right now already, really don't need access to any of the TOs FX, either, so gain, volume and tone stack control is absolutely fine, but due to the nature of the standard pots, I keep running into parameter jumps, can't keep track of what was set how and what not. Even the smallest Pirate MIDI box would adress that just nicely, as the corresponding app shows the updated parameter values per channels A/B all the time.
But cramming more than one of those boxes onto my board would be nothing I wanted, let alone I'd possibly have to disconnect and reconnect to either box all the time.
If there was a single MIDI-in box being able to control two TOs, I could defenitely envision purchasing one of those 16 knob MIDI controller boxes (which are quite affordable by now) and set it up so I could control volume and the tonestack of the 4 available TO channels at any time. That'd actually be pretty much a dream come true for the way I like to deal with things live.
but I gather that it can receive MIDI over USB
Nope! It doesn't have any MIDI capabilities at all, but it can talk to the IK editor over USB and some third parties have managed to hack that capability to allow more control of the device than what IK provides.
I’m not super familiar with the Tonex One tbh, but I gather that it can receive MIDI over USB from a host and that’s how the Airstep stuff works?
Ohhh interesting… and annoying! Never mind then haha
The best part is the OG Tonex Pedal does have midi capabilities so leaving it off the One is extra annoying!
Unfortunately, it's not that trivial (at first I thought it'd be, only to find out it's different). Tonex is using whatever proprietary messages that need translation from MIDI-to-Tonex-language (and vice versa if you want bidirectional communication). But there's been some clever folks who have "hacked" and translated these messages. There's a github project centered around it, from all I know, Pirate MIDI and Airstep are using it this and only deliver the hardware frontend:

To me it's not unlikely that IK deliberately tried to rule out MIDI communication for the Tonex One as it'd cannibalize sales of the bigger unit.
And well, regarding certain aspects (in fact pretty much all aspects), the Tonex One controlled via a Pirate MIDI box or an Airstep switch is in fact a much more powerful thing than the fullsize Tonex.
As said above, I'm pretty sure it's a deliberate decision, so there's more incentives for people to purchase full size units.
And you would think one of these companies making Tonex One controllers would make a version with two USB C ports since so many people run stereo Tonex One setups.
