IK Multimedia Group Buy 2025

Geeez how much do you guys battle with technology.

Not at all. It's technology that battles with us.

And as far as the redeeming process is concerned, well, it's as easy as it gets. In case there's some options to redeem things. Which there weren't for plenty of folks. They were just gone for no apparent reason.

So, in a nutshell, you should rather direct that question at IK.

Geeez how much do you guys battle with technology. I got the pedal and registered it in 2 seconds... went through and claimed like 30 things in 15 minutes and its all done... we're at 23 pages of discussing it :rofl

Im talking about the redeeming process, not dial up internet connection issues with the servers. I guess it must be good in Australia, all the downloads were top speed here.
I had no issues with the download speeds, but their entire system was just malfunctioning over the weekend because apparently IK can't figure out how to get their DNS routing working.

If you route traffic through 1.1.1.1 DNS server it works from anywhere. But that still means it's configured totally wrong if you can't access it from any other DNS server.

Or if they can't figure out how to use a load balancer if too many people are trying to access the site.

The new implementation for the redeem website is also weird. It will increase the Tier number as you redeem things, all the way up to tier 28 supposedly. Nobody gives a damn about the tiers, only about how many redemptions you have left.

I am practically unable to register, account and website are on/off with constant shortages. I suspect an improper web server cloudflare config (or non existant), not up to the task, or a separate temporary hosting server should have been setup for the promos licensing period.

Since IK is here listening and people have to work daily as well I would suggest you extend the registering process a couple of weeks after the 31th deadline?

That would be great.

What a MESS... manage to register my new interface managed to redeem some Tonex Packs... of course this took me minimum 2-3 hours to do... now I get this when I'm allowed again to be logged in.

Yeah you tell 'em! IK, put more servers under peoples desks! And at least upgrade to cable modem from the dial up modems.

Also I think my connection is really bad - help! I can't figure out technology.

How long do we have time to redeem our stuff? The current situation is really frustrating. I wouldn't even complain that I can't download the large libraries but being unable to redeem (or see how many I have left) and the overall website, account and IK Product Manager experience is just bad currently.

I find myself hoping I will be able to claim the stuff over the next 30 days. The main website is unreachable for me at the moment- can't even download the product manager.

Evidently, this group buy has driven a phenomenal level of interest to IK internet properties.

You have 30 days after the promotion ends to redeem, so 30 days after the 31st of October. You still have over a month to choose your free items.

Per the Group Buy page (which I understand people have had trouble accessing so that's why I'll reiterate here to assure you):

IMPORTANT NOTICE for all participants

Please note that you can claim your FREE products from your IK User Area within 30 days after the promotion's closing date. Claims cannot be made after these 30 days. Therefore, remember to claim your FREE products as soon as possible!
If you have problems registering hardware, our IK Support staff will help as always (they are already ready for people who might receive hardware just after the promo ends due to shipping etc). Software is automatically registered if purchased through us but if you have a hard time registering software from a dealer IK Support will take care of you too.

Look, it's your entire system that is busted. Websites either time out, give an error message etc and that extends to the IK Product Manager.

Making tickets to support won't do anything if you can't get your traffic routing sorted.

I think you should extend the "register by this date to receive group buy rewards" date to something like mid-November because people literally can't access your services atm.

not really how the IT world works. Squeaky wheels and all. If people actually open up trouble tickets, it gives companies conclusive evidence of issues. They can then leverage the complaints against costs of beefing up server farms and burstable internet feeds. Complaining that the site is slow or not available on a forum site doesn't capture numerical data. Extending sale windows also doesn't fix the root cause of the problem.

Having said that @IK Multimedia, you should be a step ahead of knowing about public routing/connectivity issues if you are properly monitoring your own site and validating through separate external diverse carrier feeds.

I was able to register my ToneX one at least in a short window where it took my serial. It's back to timing out again.
