Helix 3.8 when?

Hopefully dries up before you get here, but a vacation to "the rainiest spot on the planet" in peak rainy season, probably means you were really wanting to get kayaking or rafting at the highest water mark, so might be looking forward to it. All i know is the skatepark is rained out two days in a row and my donut inhalation has not slowed.

Depends where he’s staying… Hanalei could get pretty wet. But when its 80 degrees and you’re in paradise, a little rain never bothered me. And in 20 minutes when it stops raining you get rainbows.

Are you here right now? Its even raining at Kokohead on Oahu, which NEVER happens. But to me, heavy rains on Kauai mean the streams become rivers and it feels like you are in some primeval wonderland, I actually like the brown water in the streams, its epic.

I am not, didn’t know you guys were getting hit with a lot of rain right now.

One thing is, you don’t really want to go swimming when all of that brown water is washing out into the ocean. Check the water quality advisories before swimming.

I think the major rain is ending now. And yeah its crazy, when i was a little kid, if we had cuts, granmda would go "jump in the river and wash 'em out, or I'll scrub them clean" so of course we ran like hell...And now its "don't even THINK about getting in that river if you have even a scratch on you". If it doesn;t stop raining, then its the tradition of going mudsliding on the trails! Good fun and if its raining you don't need to carry the bucket.

Leaving Saturday morning. We're tubing through the channels/caves on Thursday and hiking the Napali Coast on Wednesday; supposed to be sunny but we'll see...

I see a hint of blue and the parking lot is dry! Maybe this storm is blowing off to California. If you get stuck in Honolulu for a bit come see our growing Catalyst horde. They should be taking them to Hard Rock waikiki on Saturday.
