Okay - I think I get that. But what is the scenario you guys are wanting to use this in? I‘m probably just being slow today, but I can’t think of when I would want to use that…. Care to share an example? Or @HotRats ?

Explain what this does in practical terms…
Me to… like I am a five year old.
Footswitch assigned parameters were always tied to snapshots, now you can 'kick in' a parameter and jump between snapshots without it changing.
Something that @HotRats has been requesting for TWO YEARS.
Ahhh … got it. Helpful thanks!Read the back and forth between HotRats and me on this page:
Helix 3.2 when?
It would seem this is the most hyped up Firmware update ever, by any company this means really high expectations, which usually means that when it is released it may disappoint, hoping im wrong :bag I really don't know what to expect from this update at this point. The only thing I know is...thegearforum.com
Ill be doing it on the weekend No rush 2 more days is all :)I'll update tomorrow morning when north amarica is sleeping because now seems to be impossible
Means a Lot of Helix users and well people have been waiting a long time so off to the Update ASAP :)Man I have never seen Line 6 servers in such overload.
Or, before restoring export the 3.5 factory presets to you computer, restore from the backup, then re-import the 3.5 factory presets over the restored ones.Think this is what Ill do
ill save / export all my personal presets to a folder on me desktop
and do a fresh/clean install my Helix is quite messy so this is great start from scratch
OPTIONAL: Performing a factory reset loads the new 3.50 Factory Presets, but restoring from your backup will overwrite these.
So no restore from Back up
You can restore individual preset banks, no need to overwrite the new 3.5 Factory banks after update, just restore only the User banks.Or, before restoring export the 3.5 factory presets to you computer, restore from the backup, then re-import the 3.5 factory presets over the restored ones.
“Poly capo has joined the chat?”The reducing of dsp in the cab block may help to use certain combinations of blocks that was not possible before. I need to test it, but I can say that I’m always riding on the dsp with my use of several reverbs and delay. This is mostly because I’m almost always using a A+C block. The new cab will help me squeeze more into a preset.
Not to turn this into a fractal v line 6 but the insane amount of updates that have come to fractal units, specifically the Axe Fx 3 is wild and all have been free. Both the frequency and contentits free by the way you dont have to buy a whole new piece of gear like with fractal.
