Have You Bought Any Pedals Lately In 2025?

This year I’ve bought:

SUF Bucket of Blood
DOD FX69B Grunge
GupTech DoNUT
Catalinbread Katzenkönig
EQD Hummingbird

On the way:

EHX Lizard Queen
Daddy Daughter Pedalworks CluesBreaker (local builder’s take on a Blues Breaker/PoT but Blues Clues themed).

Things I may still buy:

PastFX Elastic Mattress
Catalinbread SFT
Catalinbread RAH

I bought a Bogner La Grange a couple of weeks ago. I've been trying it with all of my amps and to find out which it sounds best with. I figured that would be my Bassman so I went with that first. I have a Blue Mini I really like with that but to my surprise it just didn't do it for me with that amp.

Next up was my 50w Ceriatone Yeti with the controls dialed in for a clean Plexi tone. That sounds good but it breaks up a little too soon. I want to use the volume control on my guitar for gain changes and it gets dirty pretty fast.

Net was my '71 YBA-1.
BINGO!
It's everything I hoped for with that amp. I did a few basic Plexi mods to my Traynor when I replaced the filter caps some years ago so it's very much like a vintage Plexi. I ran the amp through my Powerstation and had a Nemesis ADT and a Hall of Fame in its loop. Clean tones in split coil settings with the Nemesis are outstanding even with the Bogner on and the volume on my guitar rolled back a bit. I can roll up the volume on my guitar to bring in nice rhythm crunch and push the pot in for singing humbucker lead tones. It feels amazing. I really love it.

A Thorpy FX Dane arrived earlier 👍

I AM THE LIZARD QUEEN!!

This thing is sweet. It’s a bit more smooth/scooped vs my Octapussy (that thing has some gnarly mids) and rhe octave knob is nice but really subtle until much higher ranges. Fixed fuzz level. Also gets splatty/gated with roll off which I like. For $40 it’s a keeper. I love me some octave fuzz and this one is a lot of fun. You could do way worse for $40. Still want a Fuzz Master General to see how that does against my Grim Reefer.

I got a pair of these yesterday after spraining my finger while struggling to disengage from my ancient Time ATACs...must admit that I ride too infrequently, but on trails that are too technical, with decreased reaction speed, to keep running clipless pedals.

Smart! I kissed a tree at high speed roughly a decade ago, and lost an entire Summer recovering. It
dissuaded me completely from running technical single-track anymore.

50 years of pedaling won't counter decreased reaction times that aging blesses us with. So slowing
down I am.

Dammit...just ordered a Van Diemens Red Ochre Deluxe OC71 boost. Treble booster. :facepalm

Does wanting to buy this year apply to this thread? I mean… are allowed to want, in this thread…

In that case… I think I want to try a sweet honey overdrive. It’s rep for being dynamic entices me greatly.

Let’s see what I remember…
UAD Knuckles
Endgame
Some modulating Fuzz
BAD SLO pedal
Modded TS808
Red Witch Delay
Red Witch OD (but that needs fixing)
Halo delay

Incoming Emma Reezafratzitz

Ive had the J Rockett PXO for about 6 months now. This pedal can do all kinda things. It feels great and soloing on it is a pleasure, tone/feel wise. Very clear and articulate. The pre/post selector makes a difference for sure.

Not many demo vids I like on it. Took a chance that Phil knows his shit and wasn't schilling me. Spendy OD. Very useful, fun pedal. Im getting all kinds of sounds I like. Phil's my kinda cray. Great energy!

This guy does a thorough run thru but I git bored of gear demos quickley. You might enjoy the ground covered. Dude can play. Still it runs long. Forward to about 17:30 for a nice in the mix jam.

It’s a really good pedal and it gets used here regularly 👍
