Getting a tone and a groove.

What about tone? Why do some people sound better playing the same chord or even note through the same gear?

What they play needs to be within their capability. It's that simple

But it doesn't matter if you 'think' someone is fucking up what they're 'trying' to play. If other people like it then it's legit even if you think they can't play to save their life or that they're murdering a piece of music you like.

You can't tell someone the music they like isn't 'real music'. That's up to the audience as a whole and everyone's opinion/experience of that music is totally valid, even if they fundamentally disagree.

Also subjective. What's better? Who gets to determine the definite answer? Everyone will have an opinion and every opinion is valid whether you disagree with their opinion or not. So it's completely subjective.

absolutely not .

Why is your opinion on a tone better than anyone else's? We might both listen to a sound and think "That's amazing or that's completely terrible" but if someone else likes it then they're not wrong. Tone is personal preference, nothing more.
Good and bad is not the same as like and dislike . An objectively bad tone can be appropriate .
