And that's just the tip of the iceberg. You can get really freaky with control switches on top of the basic press/hold functions.
I like freaky, bring it on!

SameI use this feature to take me to the scenes layout when I select a preset from the presets layout.
CPU usage and then if there is an effect or amp not in the FM3 would be the main concernsAre all presets across all devices interchangeable? As in can I use FM9 preset or AXE-FX III preset on my FM3 turbo MKII? I would assume yes as long as CPU isn't an issue and I'm assuming some may not work correctly if there's 2 amps etc...
Is this correct?

That and there are times where effects come to Axe Fx III first. I'm not sure if it's 1:1 at this point but more often than not FM3 gets updates last (if at all)I thought all platforms had the same effects from what I read?
Or you mean like if there was an effect that maybe fm3 can only do one time but maybe the fm9 has 2 of it and therefore can't load 2.
@Whizzinby When I use auto-edition, I just browse to the IR directory in Manage cabs and click on each IR that appears in the list whilst playing to hear what each IR sounds like in the context of my patch.
I'm not sure what the scratchpad thing even is, in relation to this purpose - I don't think I've needed it (?).![]()
Here is a link that shows (pg 3 of numbered pages, page 4 of actual pages - cover page does not get a number) all blocks for each of the Fractals (sans VP4): https://www.fractalaudio.com/downloads/manuals/fas-guides/Fractal-Audio-Blocks-Guide.pdfI thought all platforms had the same effects from what I read?

I have found a workaround, arrowing directly from the cab block with the file highlighted.
IR auditioning blows.
First pass through….
“Mix 03 sucks”
Second pass through…
“This IR sounds great, what is it?”
Mix 03

Do some file cleanup, be productive… 10 minutes later… never mind.
Dynacabs solves this because the microphone position adjustments are way more granular than the traditional IR swap, so you can make more incremental tonal adjustments.

Long and short is, the following are not available on the FM3:
XVR (Crossover), DND (Dynamic Distortion), IRP (IR Player), RTA (RTA), TMA (Tonematch), VOC (Vocoder)
I've said, for years now, I would pay full entry price for an AFIII that only had the 59 Bassman model in it. It is incredible. And massively cheaper than a real '59 Bassman!with the first stock preset
I’m looking forward to the updated 59 Bassman preset!I've said, for years now, I would pay full entry price for an AFIII that only had the 59 Bassman model in it. It is incredible. And massively cheaper than a real '59 Bassman!
I use that and the JTM45 model a helluva lot these days.
Matt tweaked the 59 Bassman preset a bunch for the new presets and I highly recommend checking out the updates once they land for the FM3.
What happened to Marshall Cheech???I’m looking forward to the updated 59 Bassman preset!
