That’s a killer set up
I strongly recommend using or at least checking out the OMG9 configuration
Basically the FM3 gets parked and displays
Presets , Scenes and FX
But the cool part is step on
Presets and the 6 presets will display on the The FC6
Step on FX and same thing 6 effects with appear on the FC6
So you are using the FM3 as the switcher basically but it’s very FASt to get around
It was the original FM9 before the FM9 was even announced

The issue i have is my fm3 sits on my desk as im a home player, but wanted something to use for my feet to kick on effects and scenes etc..

However, I wonder if there's a way to turn on/off presets/scenes/fx from the fc-6 or another controller?

So it's $10 per rubber end cap for the fc-6, so $20 for both, but ugh after shipping and tax it comes to $38.99.... Do I really need them lol. Thinking about it.

I'll wait until it's here and see how I like it without them. Maybe it won't bother me and save money lol.

Can we have some appreciation for the little tuner on the main screen! Geez I love that idea of having a tuner on the fm3 and the vp4 at anytime!

Easily one of my favorite features.

Really, I undervalue the Fractal tuner in general. The first band practice I went to with the new guys, after we had a brief gear discussion where I said “I’ll be good to go no matter where we play, I could open a guitar store with my gear”, I had to ask for a tuner because I only showed up with an amp and a guitar, forgetting how much I rely on a piece of Fractal gear giving it to me.

Good call on the FC Brock. It really opens up the device in cool ways. Using channel increments with the long press you can basically cram as many effects blocks as the unit can handle on a preset and turn it into the ultimate dream pedalboard. That’s how I primarily use it.

Regardless, pay attention to the ventilation on the bottom.

It's a crap shoot. You want that FM9 life until you end up using 59% of your processing power on a compressor and Plex delay

True. I think the VP4 add really helps the FM3 line

FM9 would be cool, but i still think I have it made better with fm3 turbo mark II and vp4. In the end with this set up I can do 5 plex delays if i needed it, the fm9 still can only do 2 and same with many other effects. So I think I'm more powerful right now lol. Maybe even more powerful than the axefx III too!

Sure, I can't do dual amps/cabs but I never did that with my helix either so I think im ok and the channel thing is great, however I wonder how does one switch between channels per block via fc-6 or some other way?

When you connect to the editor you’ll see FC layout options for what the short and long press does. Set the long press to increment (or decrement if you’re a savage) and set it to wrap. Then when you tap a foot switch once it just turns the entire block off or on. Then when you do a long press it will move up an increment to the next channel in the block and so forth. So basically a single tap engages and disengages an effect block like any pedal, but a long tap will cycle between the four channels in that block.

The FC’s are sick in terms of what you can do with them. You need to live on the G66, Cooper Carter and Leon’s YT channels for a few days. Those dudes pull off some magic with the FAS devices.

Regardless, pay attention to the ventilation on the bottom.

That's only an issue with the FM3/9, the foot controllers don't generate any heat. But you definitely want to keep the bottom and side vents unobstructed on the FM units.
