Yeah... I just tried it and got the same.I just tried it, but it just takes you to the modifier page, as if you only pressed Enter once. Thanks for the suggestion though!
If it were very close for me between Fractal and Line 6, it would be the "little things" that pushed me to Fractal:
They're a small company here in the US, vs. a giant, to me, faceless, corporation in Japan. I live in the US, not Japan, and I always prefer giving my money to a small business.
Cliff is quite dedicated to his customers, so much so that he once answered a forum-member's post, within a half-hour, while he was at a gig setting up and having problems.
That personal touch thing seals it for me.
Absolutely - whilst the parent company, Yamaha, may well be faceless, Line 6 most certainly isn't, and, as far as I'm aware, most of its employees are based in North America. While Line 6 is a big company, I think Digital Igloo does an excellent job at interacting with the customers (and tire kickers/critics).
I'm not in the market for an AxeFXIII, but if I were, I'd rather have a Fractal FC series foot controller than a MIDI controller, despite the fact that they are *absurdly* expensive for what they are, especially outside the US.As far as third party Midi foot controllers.
110$ on Aliexpress, super versatile in terms of midi capability and a big improvement over last gen "midi commander" type units/clones.
MIDI Captain STD Vesion (Black)
MIDI Captain STD is not just a MIDI controller, but a comprehensive musical performance assistant. With the ability to send Program Change (PC), Continual Change (CC), and Note commands, it empowers musicians with full functionality. Moreover, it offers fully customizable footswitches, and an...paintaudio.com
Having done both, I agree the FC does adds convenience. No brainer if the pricing was closer to Helix Control levels. Helix Control is a FC-12 equivalent at 379 €. The FC-12 costs 885 €. Helix LT is 1099 €.I'm not in the market for an AxeFXIII, but if I were, I'd rather have a Fractal FC series foot controller than a MIDI controller, despite the fact that they are *absurdly* expensive for what they are, especially outside the US.
Programming midi controller with FAS gear is, um; not funYou might be able to "get" a different controller to work with the Axe, but you'd be spoiling a big part of the
experience if you go with something other than an FC....IMHO.
In pot calling the kettle black news; this has got to be his 10th FM3. At least. This just in:

And how did you feel about "only" having 3 switches? Did you use them as double-function, and did you switch layouts?I had a Morningstar MC8 that I used with my FM3. I wound up selling it and just using the FM3 alone. The Fractal foot switches are just so much better on a gig. Way more visible and reliable.

When they ditched the IRX it was because they have tube amps and don't see the pointIn pot calling the kettle black news; this has got to be his 10th FM3. At least
Well… I do have a dual foot switch attached to one of the FM3 expression inputs, so I’m kind of cheating. And how did you feel about "only" having 3 switches? Did you use them as double-function, and did you switch layouts?
I'm just curious how an FM3 can be set up to do more than it may seem at first, in a real-life gig situation.
I hope he never calculates how much money he's lost constantly buying, selling and rebuying the same things. To me it makes no sense. In pot calling the kettle black news; this has got to be his 10th FM3. At least.

I went nuts in Kemper land. By FAR the one piece I had to a Gasp level of times. Everything else I seem to be good at twice. The churn will never stop for me but I try at least be congnizant that I am doing it if nothing elseI hope he never calculates how much money he's lost constantly buying, selling and rebuying the same things. My pattern is usually something like:
- Buy a new thing -> Try it for the return period if new (14 days by law in EU if bought online, 30 days from Thomann) -> Keep or return.
- Buy a used thing -> Try it out for at least a few weeks -> Keep for N years or sell.
I've sold plenty of good gear just because I wanted something different, and I don't buy anything without doing usually way too much research. Returns are generally a hassle so unless it's something as small as a pedal I take my time to buy.
Taking my time to research actually made me miss out on the relic Tele I posted yesterday. It was for sale by person A, got bought by person B before me, then B decided to sell it for whatever reason a few weeks later (in my city no less!), so I got lucky.
