Fractal Talk

I haven't really checked out the Factory Presets featuring the Engls. It was
my new best friend, Jim Lill, from Vanden Plas who got me checking out
the Engls a while back, and I am totally smitten and fascinated.

Paired with the Recto Straight 4x12 Dyna Cab and I am transported to my
happy place in an instant. :chef

Man I'm still so blown away by this thing! (Axe III)

I was listening to some old Chicago, in particular Terry Kath, so I rolled back to the old Fender amp factory presets to mess around with 25 or 6 to 4, played with that old tone for a while, then started working my way back up, and landed on the Angle Severe one. And it just sounds SO GOOD.

Been running thru my Petrucci stuff on Sc 2, "Channel 2", w/o changing a thing! Best $2261 I ever spent!! I've now owned it 4 years, and it has been PLAYED A LOT, with not a single issue! (Other than me needing to get used to how a mic'd cab sounds, as opposed to a real amp sitting next to me. Which is NOT a dig on Fractal.)
Same here there aint nothing i cant do on my Fractal

The Rockman thread made me curious about those tones in the III....did a search of the factory presets and came up with #231.

If you're wanting to get your Boston on it ain't too bad!

It truly is a remarkable device. I would love to see useful AI added to it’s tremendous capability. Being able to create a player/personality profile by getting to “know” me, my style and technique. The ability to feed it songs and then build an entire matching rig on the fly by analyzing it. Further adapting it, if desired, to match my playing as well. Just a few use cases. Being able to build backing tracks based on what I play would be nice. I don’t think these kind of advancements are that far off.

They've been working on that, but the beta testers have had issues with their units registering themselves on various gear forums and trolling people.
