Wow yes thanx. Or remove the 2 top switches and expand screen size? Or if you keep the 2 top switches and all switches double as knobs too you can get rid of some of the little blk knobs and make screen larger??? And any blk knobs could have indicators where they are at like on Kempers?

100%. That thing was just unusable without the AX8 Edit software. I'm with @JCW308 though, it sounded great.

When I got my Axe 3, I was surprised how bright the tone was and that took me a while to adjust to. I wonder if the current gen is so high fidelity that it shows more flaws in the tone, where the older gen was more like having a bit of a blur filter that takes the edges off?

What if the new thingy is some sort of controller? Like a box of those AX8-style rotary encoders with LEDs? (I know there used to be a third-party product along those lines....)

I'm skeptical that's what it is....but it's fun to think about! What if Fractal decides to build a really nice controller that completely puts to rest all the noise about their UX.....something like that would complement their existing line, while also maybe being part of a more modular ecosystem going forward...

Stealing a page from the AX8, removing the scribble strips on the FM3 you could Fit 6 stomps (“FM6”).
