This is actually better than the FC channel toggling, where the hold does an increment/decrement between the four. Being able to hold once, then select from the clearly identified types is sweet.

That is quite nifty. I would imagine it maintains the existing bypass state when you do this, rather than activating the block if it is bypassed? Seems to me a good way to queue up the effects you need for an upcoming section of the song, a few bars ahead of when you need it.

That method of channel selecting would be a really cool addition to the current line of products for on the fly switching. Unless you have a particular channel tied to a scene selection, I find it only works well to toggle between two channels in a playing scenario. It is not practical to hit a button three consecutive times to cycle through the channels from A to D.

Clearly, any piece of gear with an interface this straightforward must be dumbed down and sound like shit. Hard pass.
