Can a Telecaster be used for metal? I used one through my Quad Cortex to find out

Sure, any guitar can be used for metal. The question is all over the net, so I thought I would do a short demo.

A few riffs in Drop D and then in E standard. I think the video came out well, the damn thing is a bitch to play, but it has a unique sound which isn't half bad imho.

Tele bridge pickup playing nasty gross metal riffs is one of the most brutal sounds you will ever hear. I promise. It may not be like some flat black no fretboard marks fishman loaded turd but it can absolutely rip your face in the best of ways

The last band I was in, the other guitarist wanted to make fun of me, lil Stomp and my Partscaster with vintage pups…. him being the ultimate damn progressive metal type of dude wielding his damn Plini guitar and 6505 amp….

I just loaded up my Badonk preset in the little Stomp and made the room shake through two JBL 15” PA speakers. Nuff said. Reminds me of this movie scene…

It went down right there, and he bought an LT the week after.

My only guitar, dont need more. Partscaster. Chunky warmoth super smooth roasted oil rubb, 43mm nut, compound radius 11-16, ss frets.
SD pups. Can’t say I’m super impressed by the tiny humbucker but I’m mostly in neck position (even for hard stuff) so it’s allowed to be there. And I don’t really twang or chicknpickn
