What Did You Do With Your Guitar(s) Today?

This is the third LP I've owned and easily the best. The two prior LPs, a Tribute and a Classic, didn't nearly have the same mojo and they've been sold off. This has it in spades. I suspect it be very hard for it to be unseated by another LP. I'm not even looking to try.

Today, new strings and a setup. Rock on :rawk

I'm sure it's great and all, but holy shit that fretboard is dry. Give it a good proper conditioning stat!

My understanding is highly acidic/citrus based oils are ok for cleaning and removing
grime, but awful for conditioning and moisturizing wood.

Maybe @Eagle can chime in. :idk

Dilute linseed oil is probably best but sparingly. Lemon oil sold for fingerboards is ok because the acidic element is very small.
Yeah, I hardly ever use oil. When I do it's tad bit of mineral oil, and then wipe off really well. Helps clean too.

That's where the term guitar "licks" comes from.

It's something I stole/borrowed from Donald Kinsey---who was playing
a gig and requested some Fried Chicken in between sets, and then told
us how it allowed him to play better/smoother/faster.... and that it helped
protect his strings and guitar.

Couple of us thought he was joking. He wasn't. :idk

RIP Donald. What a legend! :beer

On a side note, look at pictures of Zep shows from the 77 tour where Page was pretty wasted most of the time.

Every time a spot catches his guitars it looks like they've gone case to stage and back w zero care in between for the whole tour.
Literally disgusting.
