In fairness to Always Sunny that first episode is a crossover episode with another tv show and lets face it, crossover episodes are almost never a good idea

What's odd is Dennis plays a teacher in another series (AP Bio) that is actually really good and for some reason; my brain kept telling me it was going to be a crossover with that show. Which would have been funny seeing the 2 Dennis' meet face to face; freaky friday style or whatever.

I watched the first two episodes yesterday and yeah, first one wasn’t that great. They deviate from their regular format sometimes, and sometimes it works but a lot of times it doesn’t. I didn’t realize it was a crossover with another show.
2nd episode was classic always sunny format and I liked it, definitely funny, especially the twist at the end.

It can be a bit slow, and a bit repetitive with the political/ spycraft themes, but yes, excellent overall.

Just finished the new Turning Point series about the Vietnam war. Harrowing stuff. I'll probably re-watch the first two episodes since I wasn't able to pay full attention the first time.
The Turning Point series on the cold war and nuclear arms race vs. the Soviet Union was really great, too.

...annnnnnnnnnnnnddddddddddddd episode 3 is up to par with some of the best in the series. So much for a bad season

Watched Jaws 2 for probably the 2nd, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe 3rd time of my life last night? 1 is a masterpiece obviously. 3 is 3d cheese x infinity that I somehow still love.
I thought 2 was nowhere near as good but still enjoyable but the rewatch had me thinking it has one of the worst teen ensemble casts with the worst dialog pretty much ever. Focusing on the wife's character was also a huge mistake. I forgot about the shark getting
at the end as well.
I know 4 (The Revenge) was abysmal. I'll probably give it another go anyway

Watched the Happy Gilmour sequel. As terrible as I expected it to be; it was surprisingly damn good. Shooter McGavin was great as was John Daly and really all his usual suspects.
He tied his real family into the cast in a nice way as well. Trying to make a throwback like this work would be next to impossible but they did damn good. It won't change your mind if you hated the OG but I really enjoyed it.

Yeah same. Going in, you know it's gonna be goofy, but it was entertaining. I did think it was cool that he had his daughters in it.
