Video Games

I went with Ranni (although it seemed very depressing 😂). But I have a feeling there isn't necessarily a "good" ending?
Most do! As the humor/satire ER video has her say: "I need more husbands!"

A coule of NPC's have happy endings - the Jellyfish going to the stars with her sister being the obvious. It doesn't end well for most.

I basically cosplayed as Blaidd after getting his armor and Moon Greatsword 😂 thought I might as well see it through

Played a bit of Sniper Elite 6. I don't know if it's really elite, but I guess shooting Nazis with Sniper Rifles never gets old. Like a jankier HITMAN in WW2. And I guess that's why it doesn't really click with me: I always want to like HITMAN, but everytime I eventualy fail and play something else.

Tried the demo version of the upcoming Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii. It's exactly as crazy as I hoped and the ship battles evoke that classic Assassin's Creed IV naval battle fun.

Network tests for Nightreign look... interesting. I'm not sure it has the appeal to me that most FROM games have, but it is just the first network test. I like to prepare and plan a bit, not panic-scramble.

Looking at the videos of Night Reign it comes across as a massive boss rush.

Until the full game releases it's hard to say but there's a worry it will get old fast.

Mostly though, I'd say, being familiar with all the Elden Ring bosses will go far here.

I watched a few more Nighreign network test videos.

Co-op will be the thing for me. You can play with a friend using a password and include a random, or with 2 other friends or with 2 randoms. Our Elden Ring co-op group is pretty active still (even with the recent spate of not co-op connecting), so that will keep us going.

But I can't imagine myself sitting down after work or on the weekend playing solo or with randoms after the first couple of weeks. And if ER and the Network Tests are any indication, it will be a hot mess for dropouts and failing to connect for the first few weeks online. Many games from all developers suffer from this.

YMMV

Yeah that's how it looks to me too. The full game will need a lot more content, variety, modifiers/game modes etc to keep people interested past a few weeks.

It looks fun, but seems like it could be much more. If it's purely co-op, I expect it won't have much longetivity. A 6-player (two team) versus mode for example might be interesting.

The PvP crowd still complain about ER and the lousy colosseums. Just a big circle. Apparently there is a solo mode, but no one on a network test was trialing that. It's designed to be co-op.

Nightreign is not set up for PvP at all and never will be. I have a friend and an online group who are interested to increase the fun for us. But I'm getting the bad vibes now, and gameday releases have been a mess with many titles, so one relying on co-op...

The demo of the single player The First Berserker: Khazan was interesting. I may get that.

The guy who did my guitar put loads of poker puns in the description. Lol.

Is anyone on the Night Reign network test?

I spent as much time as possible playing it over the weekend

Unbelievably fun and addicting; wish I could play more! Day one buy for me for sure.

Had a great time playing with randos as well as co-op with one of my friends. Eventually managed to complete 2 full runs. My friend was also instantly addicted haha

If the full game really ramps up the random generation to keep every run feeling fresh and unique, I can see this being a game I play for fuckin years

Interesting - and the first I've heard of this game. Is it PC only?

I downloaded Avowed onto my kid's XBox last night, but haven't had a chance to actually try it. It's reviewing pretty well, and I'm hopeful it might hold my interest for a while.

Looks interesting, im downloading it to on Xbox X. But idk… it also looks a little to much for my tastes. Could be fun though.

To many game to little time ehhh.... :roflAvowed, Stalker 2, Indiana Jones..... Xbox gamepass is fun...
I also need to revisit No Mans Sky since it was 5 years now i did a playthrough. Need to get to the galaxy where most systems is fire/lava/hot.

Lately I had a really bad flu and fever dreamt about Balatro. Of course it did not help, that I played this game since release on mobile and even more on that fatefull day. So I lay there with fevery dreams about matching and discarding cards to flushes and pulling/stacking jokers. Even dreamt about the numbers going up.

Why do I tell this? Bc this guitar would literally give me PTSD while playing.

Awesome, btw.

I was getting psyched up to tell my gf that I want the TV next Friday night when she texts me to tell me she's been roped into going to a comedy show with her friend that night.

Get in.

Started Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza In Hawaii yesterday. Still in tutorial phases, but it's fun for sure. Crashed a few times tho and the HDR configuration is a mess! :hmm

Also...the small tiger that follows you around puts on a donut pool float if you go swimming in the ocean. :chef
