Video Games

Great moments in video game history:
  • Beating Mike Tyson’s Punchout
  • The end of RDR1
  • Roasting smores by the campfire of Margits dead fucking ashes

I have happy memories that go back a bit further…

Radahn has been nerfed/adjusted a fwe times. The hit box issue was corrected - and they deduced his damage at the same time by mistake, so that had to be re-buffed. Summon some help, throw a few Rot and Poison pots, then run away.

DLC Radahn has also been nerfed. He doesn't Rot so easily, and you need to buff your Spirit Summons in the DLC.

Gelmir's Grave becomes more fun when you learn how to ride the Chariot. Margit's Shackle also has other uses in dungeons.

The game changes a bit when Hero's Graves and the like are opportunites for odd-ball fun and exploration. But damn they bite until then!

Jumping is an essential skill to learn - I have no idea why stamping one's foot (and other stuff ala Moons) causes such AOE damage, but many later Bosses stomp and roar etc.

Online guides say 100-120 for the Mountaintops. Do-able, but things start hitting hard from here. The Valiant Gargoyles in Nokron are no joke either.

One person's side alleys and meandering are another's exploration and discovery! I assume you went underground for mini-Mohg in the capital?

Already did the gargoyles in Nokron. Did those around level 80 or so.

I did not go underground yet for the capital. Might save that for when I do the dung eater quest line

I restarted Breath of the Wild a few weeks ago because I couldn't remember how to play or where I left off. I'm almost caught back up to where I was before. I like the exploration part of the game and the puzzles are decent, but the combat isn't great and the overall gameplay is kind of tedious.

Yeah breath of the wild was amazing when it first launched. Excellent launch title for the switch. I definitely cruised through it but also picked up Tears of the Kingdom on launch and just cannot get into it. Very tedious and just not doing it for me

Alright.....I've reached my first boss that's pissing me off 😂

Good ol Malenia. I had them down to one hit in phase 2 and got 1 shot. Made me want to uninstall right there 😂

I think I'm reaching end game. I've done just about every location and just hit level 150. Starting through Farum Azula right now.

I did end up using a Larval Tear to respec as I was getting bored with the uchigatana and I also felt like once I reached the mountaintops, it fell off hard.

So I switched to the Dark Moon Greatsword +10 and have been having a lot of fun with it.

Farum Azula is a pretty awesome level overall. The snow areas sucked big time.

Nightreign looks like a mad scramble from the snippets I've seen: choose whether or not to fight enemies for the loots or run 'coz time is running out. Don't die too often or it's hard to revive you and you get left behind.

Could be fun, but very different. I'll have to see more gameplay footage.

Some interesting games on Sony's showcase just there. Lots of Souls-likes, including some pretty cool Lies of P DLC. Game I'm most excited for is Saros from Housemarque.

Also a new Shinobi game from Streets of Rage 4 creators.

And Onimusha is back too.
