Video Games

I must admit I always play it as clean as possible, don't kill anyone outside of the main missions where you have to.
I am too for the most part. But before I got the controls down I kept accidentally pressing r2 and whipping out a gun and shooting people I was only trying to talk to, lol. Then they send a bunch of guys after you and you’ve gotta go rambo. Also I guess they thought people in the late 1800s were very easily offended, you antagonize a stranger 2 or 3 times and suddenly you’re wanted.

Haha, true!

I recall pressing the wrong button once and accidentally pulling a gun on the sheriff when I was just trying to take a bounty reward off his desk. That certainly didn't go over well.

Lol I did exactly this. Murdering that poor woman from the train station was just a momentary lapse in judgment though.

Yeah, it's been many years since I played, but this kind of thing is what put me off the game, actually. The controls were just batshit IMO. I vaguely remember trying to get on my horse and punching the sheriff in the face. Then I had the bright idea of spending time in camp to try to get comfortable with the controls, only to find that 75% of them didn't work in camp.

MOAR UI COMPLAINING! :wat

Worth checking out Game Pass/Luna or other cloud streaming game services - easy way to hop on some of the latest games without investing in a console.
This is a huge benefit for Game Pass. For Christmas got my boy a TV for his room. Had an “ahah” moment with my Game Pass sub, bought a $30 Firestick from Amazon and now he’s resenting it an Xbox in there to go with his Switch.

I want to play the game like this...but it really falls apart at the seams so often.

The game has basically "Howdy" and violence as its options for interacting with the game world's NPCs. I wish it had more in-depth positive options to avoid hostility.

The bounty system is also ridiculous with entire posses spawning to go for that juicy $1 reward. That'll give them three cans of beans to share! Maybe even two shots of whiskey at the saloon!

It's the greatest cowboy simulator ever made, yet at the same time it's got a very dated mission system and once the circus runs out of random events the game world becomes eerily quiet as there's no economy or anything to offer post-game gameplay.

So the main thing then becomes coming up with clever ways to antagonize dudes in saloons, getting into fistfights with everyone in town and whatnot antisocial behavior.

Can't say you're wrong about this, but due to my peaceful nature I won't shoot you in the face for pointing it out.

I don’t know if you guys are aware of RDR2 roleplay. I wasn’t until I found this guy’s videos the other day, where he trolls them, and these nerds take it really seriously, it’s hilarious.

Getting my ass absolutely whipped on Battlefield 6. Sekiro, Elden ring and such games.. can handle. I'll fight the boss 75 times till I "git guud", and the 76th time emerge
victorious.

But this battlefield multiplier? lmao. Not a chance. It's total annihilation.

I can go entire matches having killed like 2 targets. At this point teams will probably start kicking me off thinking I'm secretly on the enemies' side. I spent a few hours tonight again thinking I'll "git guuud" and my performance will improve. Nope. Hell nah.

But then again, I'm not really that experienced with this kind of games. It seems that most people playing them are really high level.

Maybe one issue is I'm connected to the internet on my ps 5 via WiFi, not Ethernet port. That may be a small part of the problem. I think the ping is surprisingly good, but still not ideal.

So far the only useful things I've managed to do is shoot tanks with missiles, focus on that, or revive other players.

Also what's up with the maps being so small. I thought battlefield games have large maps, but most in this game feel... kind of claustrophobic? There's not much room to breathe. It's almost constant back and forth shooting.
