Upcoming: Bogner Snorkler

Seems like a very expressive amp.
Perfect match for Jerry Cantrell’s guitar playing.
An extension of the moody’ness in his playing.
His bottom end throaty bendy riff’s,
the growl in his grip.. it fits his flavor of his vibe perfectly.
A deep & dark dimensioned amp.
1/2 step down brings it deeper…add Jerry’s
moody feel…
Talk about a great match!!!

“Love Stink” in a box.
I bet the Man In The Box mouth wah-wah is dope AF through it.
“Check My Brain” riff type stuff.
His recording sound is a bunch of stuff,
more about the collective of all the gear being
used at different times during different tracks,
-than one amplifier is THE sound.
I still want one!

Jerry was on Rig Rundown this month talking about a Signature Amp with Bogner. Hmmmm.....??? :idk

Yeah, if he was working with Bogner in getting that Fish rack put together/sourced, he’s definitely aware of the Snorkler.

Seems more guys are getting multi-endorsements these days with gear, Bill from Mastodon was demo’ing another Victory amp this week with his Butterslax in the same rack, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see Cantrell putting his name on both the JJ and the Snorkler, or even a sig Fish. He’s tied to all of them enough where I don’t think anyone could really call it a “sellout” move. I mean, I want all 3 just because of his association with them.

Mr. Nielson's video is, as always, great! Reza's is horrible.
Do any of the producers video’s sound anything like the amp when it’s sitting in front of you?
When your that good, which is too good,
Of course everything’s gonna be top shelf.
At least the Reza guy just plugs in and rips.
Is there much difference with this Snorkler & the Dragon?
Go watch them both- they sound the same??
Like super’ killer perfect good…
Has that EVER been your experience with gear?
If you use his production & set-up and mad skillset
💯.
Shit’s expensive man and nearly everything on the market you lose big on resale.
I trust the same hands that play my gear like the same hands on my wallet
Same hands that gotta’’ go break rocks all day.

Never forget when I was hyped from a Reza video and fervently purchased a Butterslax following the demo video he performed.
The lows/bottom end sounded SO RAD!!
Like the Twin Jet Depth control sub-lows WITHOUT the hum in those frequencies..
YEAH F’N right.
DOOPED.
He edited that component in there..
So, I get what you mean by trusting that dude💯.

I absolutely HATE ALL GEAR DEMO’s.
It’s all a crock of crap.

The bestest most origina thing I heard from him was a blatant mistake and he didn’t edited it.
It was like someone accidentally farting..
- oh.. he’s human!
THAT!! is where the real creative juices lie for that dude.
He’s got some sweeet guitars!!

Most of his videos are the same thing. I just didn't like the way he dialed in the Snorkler. He had WAY too much presence for my tastes, and it came off as bright at tinny sounding. If he likes that, more power to him. I don't, and life keeps going on. :p

I don't really follow him too much, and I wasn't active a lot at RT when he was on there.

Having recorded in the past, I have a working knowledge of what they're doing when recording. You're absolutely right in that it's not a good idea to base a purchase off of clips. Yep! Yourself in a familiar room plugged straight in is the golden ticket.

Funny thing is.....this reminds me of a Laney GH50L...single channel with a second switchable gain stage.
My amp tech was telling me he just one of these in, and they're built really well! He reckons better than the VH100R, where Laney made some choices just to make the thing cheaper, which add a lot of noise and make it hard to maintain.

Im telling you man ....it is an amazing amp, especially on the used market. Very versatile, but honestly, that's Laney ...for me.

I used mine in a metal band with no boost ...no pedals ....straight in the front...no gate.

But I used it in all my cover bands too ...the foot switchable gain stage is key.

Looks like you can get them for about £250 here in the UK too. Maybe after I get the Mark :rofl

When you think of all that’s going on..it’s so many things.
That’s why those frivelous with pur money want
iPhone crappy clips.
Your pocketbook connects to your ears, your ears search for that core tone you crave, the tone at your comfortable volumes…
The last thing you want is a super good guitar player who’s seasoned with gear software & editing tools producing what YOU will hear when YOU flick it outta standby.
All they know by nature is great, getting great mixes etc.
We just want to know if it’s good at lower volumes, while retaining punch and response with a good loop, best speaker match, beast tubes & bias setting etc..
You’ll either have one fist in the gold
or one foot in the gutter at that point…game time.
You know what I mean?

Amp market be wild when you see $2,850 list and think…

Ronnie has taken the news well it seems

What a stupid take. Sure, he can bitch about not getting credit for sticking the Snorkler badge on it and giving it a name, but he had absolutely nothing to do with the mod itself aside from convincing Reinhold to make it for him.

Decades of mystique….can Ronnie even tell anyone what the mod is? :rofl

i was using Andy Brauer rentals in n.Hollywood for most of the gear we used on Janes Addiction's Nothings Shocking and Andy turned me onto a Bogner Modified jcm 800 that Rheinhold had modded...apparently he did a few...for Eddie and Steve and Joe...well i had the same amp and took it over to Rheinhold and asked him to do exactly the same thing to mine...he refused... saying that he was trying to launch his own product...i told him i didnt care how much it costs and that my clients would send him a ton of business,to which he capitulated,grudgingly....good move i'd say!
