Two Notes OPUS!!!

Hi I’m considering purchasing one of these. How would I hook it up to my combo amp? Is this possible? Can I unplug the speaker and plus the opus in with a speaker cable? Any help is appreciated.

Why don't you just read the manual? But as you don't seem to want doing so, the answer is: No, you can't. At least not exactly... (learn about the reason in the manual or just read what it says on the unit).

The Opus is NOT a load box. You can place the Opus between your amp and speaker, but the speaker or a load box needs to connect to the Opus.

Edited: @Ksav79, welcome to the forum. :beer
Thank you. Is there a way to use it in front of the amp? Effects loop maybe?

And for what it’s worth I DID read the manual before posting here but it’s not exactly clear if you can use it with an amp.

Watch the Pete Thorne video posted earlier in this thread. Listen at around the 1:50 mark.

Well, it says that you should not connect the speaker output from an amp to the speaker input jack without at the same time connecting a loadbox or real cab to the speaker out jack. It says so both on the unit and in the manual.

Sorry for being a bit snarky in my last post, but seriously, that quaestion was really easy to answer from both just looking at the unit or by reading the manual.

You can't unplug the speaker.
If it's an open back combo, the easiest thing to do is to get a speaker cable with a 1/4 inch plug on one end and cable shoes on the other end, just like the one connecting your speaker to the amp.
You connect the cable shoes to the secondary lugs on the speaker and plug the plug into the Opus.

Hi Amy !

Can the on-board 32 Dyn IR's be changed / swapped out -or- are they "baked-in" ?
