An operating system update cost me a lot of money a couple of years ago. I didn't realize at the time that the OS update on my Mac made it 64 bit only. That caused my Axe Ultra Edit software to stop working. It also caused my interface to stop working because it was older and there were no 64 bit drivers for it. I had to replace a bunch of hardware and software. It cost me over 2k to get it all working again. I tried to buy things that should last a while so this doesn't happen again any time soon.
