Laptop for Linux Server admin?

Except run MS Office products. 2+ decades later, WINE is still a moving target.
You have OpenOffice/libreoffice lol. Also if you want windows stuff you install ununtu💩, install wine, playonlinux stuff and use your exe/msi whatever.
I personally think it's stupid asf crap to use windows stuff on a linux systems.

Feature. Not a bug.
I don’t disagree, but when you work for a M365 shop, it makes it a PITA.

You didn’t read the part where I said WINE is a moving target. It works (maybe), then something is updated and it breaks. Again, I’m not remotely a lover of MS products, but I don’t have a choice.

Sure you have a choice, just use the tools which match the task requirements. M$ ecosystem = windows laptop.
For that reason i will never work with/for m$ ecosystem. I hate that shit & their ideology as is.
Again, when your organization is entrenched in M365, you use M365. I don’t know if you’re new or what, but when you take a job, you don’t really get to dictate what’s used.

I don’t know if you’re old or what, but before you take a job, you can really check what’s used.
I’m an adult, who weighs more than just what computer I’ll be using. At the end of the day, I’d rather user a Windows laptop and get paid what I do, get the benefits I do, and get the flexibility I have, than worry about a computer.
