The Pot Partaker's Lounge

That's super cool, @Moondog Wily . :beer

Man, I ran some errands yesterday and stopped at a Dispo and walked right
back out. I ain't waiting in a long ass line for a free Doobie. :hmm

So I am going back today.

Never been totally sold on most vapes outside of special occasion convenience reasons but this thing fucks pretty hard and 4g vape for $36 is kind of a no brainer

I've been all aboard the Dry Herb Vaporizer train for a couple years now. I just bought an Arizer Solo III and really like it. That's for at-home use, then I have an XMAX V3 for dog walks. Big fan.

Same. Fuck that disposable distillate crap! :horse

:rofl

I have an Arizer, too. I actually use my XVape Aria the most. Variable temp
control is a revelation when vaping dry herb. So tasty! :love

I told an uppity Dispo Dude to "Fuck off!" today.... and walked out. :hmm

Said strains don't matter and everything is Hybridized. Told me,
"Sorry, but I have a a Degree in Cannabis."

Where from? Dumbfuckery University? :bonk

I walked out empty handed and won't go back. Too many other establishments
with cool Peeps who are not trying to flex their stupid on ya.

Been smoking, and worked in the industry long enough to know that the entourage effect is the real deal. That guy is wrong.

That said, the majority of growers and chain dispensaries prefer the hybrids because they can tweak the genetics for a higher yield and name it something catchy and uncanny that’ll help it sell.

The better strains like the landrace sativas don’t yield enough to make it worthwhile for them when they can sell a higher yielding strain for less.

Check the menus at the college town dispensaries. It’s mostly India-dominant strains.

Yup. Well said. :beer

He was trying to flex his "learning" and all he did was reveal his trendy dipshit status. :facepalm

:ROFLMAO:

He said landrace strains don't exist in the commercial market. I agree they are hard to come
across, but if you are diligent in your search you can find the genetics, or as close as you are going
to get, either in the form of seeds or flower.

He was too educated to have an actual conversation with so I walked away and gave him a "Fuck Off!
as I walked out the door.

Not sure how it is in your state, but in CO., you had to go to the small, Mom and Pop shops to get the hard to find stuff.

So is yield the primary driver in the industry? I guess I had not thought of that. It sure
makes sense. Even if there is a massive glut of supply on the market here right now.
I thought prices were driven as low as they could possibly go 2 years ago. I was wrong.
It's cheaper now. People trying to get rich and I suspect many of them will go bankrupt
because the margins are astronomically thin right from growers to retailers.

I've been sourcing seeds and building a nice stash. Once my Son is off on his own I'll have
my own outdoor garden here in no time. And I won't be looking for Choppers in the sky
like I did in the 1990s and 2000s when I grew. Do not miss that paranoia.

I am constantly checking Weedmaps. :love

There are a few small shops in some of the rural places. You go to a larger city and
they are increasingly dominated by these new retail Cannabis franchises.

Politics is involved, too. A lot of the smaller communities are not granting licenses
and approving any recreational Cannabis establishments in their town or township.
Like the small town I live in. :idk

Life is just such a trip. I am not into Hybrids and prefer to smoke/vape as close to pure Indicas
and Sativas as I can. Give me that Durban Poison or Afghan Kush. :chef

The other day a friend smoked a joint with me, and I really enjoyed it. It was a near 50/50 Hybrid
called "Unicorn Tears." I go on Weedmaps to find the only place in a 50 mile radius that sells it. The
Brand of Flower is also part of a BOGO Sale. Sweet! I am excited.

I go there. I get there, and ask about the strain, and then find out that Strain is not part of the Sale.

WTF? :hmm

I still think about it buying some, when the conversation about Hybrids ensues, and how the world is
going all Hybrid in the grower domain, and true Sativas and Indicas don't exist anymore..... and.......

.....I have a degree from Canna U.

So I walk out with nothing. It's almost like I jinxed myself with all my "I don't dig Hybrids" talk over the years.

I find an Hybrid I like. Find a store that sells it. SWpend my afternoon going there and coming home. Get a
lesson on Hybrids from some dude in his 20s talking down to me, and come home with Nada Nada Nada. :hugitout:hugitout:brick

Funny as heck to me!! :rofl

Ya, hybrid smybrid.
The whole Sativa/Indica/Hybrid thing is BS. I ignore that now and just go for the best THC%/price ratio I can find.

Highest thc doesn’t necessarily = best smoke/high imo. So many other cannobinoids and terpens affecting all that

Some of the best smoking stuff I have had in the past year was a super terpy 15%THC. :chef

I don't chase the numbers. I hunt for the genetics, the lineage, and the complimentary effects
based on my own user experiences over 5 decades of huffing.

I've also researched the history of Cannabis and attempts to isolate THC quite a lot, and recall a
Defense Department venture here in the States that isolated THC in a form they called EA2233, and
administered it to soldiers. The outcome was not good. Soldiers blood pressure cratered and none
of them could even stand on their own feet without assistance. The thought was to weaponize it,
and administer it in some form on a battlefield. If you can't kill 'em knock 'em the fuck out with your
synthetic THC.

Can we talk concentrates?

Current types available at my shop: Badder, Live Badder, Resin, Rosin, Resin Badder, Diamonds, Shatter, Jam, Rosin Jam, Live Resin, Curated Live Resin, Curated Live Resin Badder, Et al.

1. Easiest types to handle? I tried one that was harder to work with than the black goo you clean out of a pipe stem! :hmm
2. I only top bud with it. No dab rings or pipes - which type would be best?
3. Is their any obvious potency/quality of buzz to type things to know about?

Graci.
