The Hx 3.9 fw thread

First post! I hope the next update will finally bring us the Normal channel of the Hiwatt DR103 because the Brilliant channel is unbearably bright for bass.

And while we’re talking about amps that can serve double duty for guitar and bass, I’d kill for a Verellen Meatsmoke model, especially since the amps themselves have been unavailable for years.
Welcome!

A new Fender amp. It’s a bit slim on the Fender department.

Otherwise a two rock so I can see what the deal is.

Is there an amp with just 4 knobs (bass treble master and gain) that sound wonderful clean? That one please.

I am totally good in the FX department

Command Center Layout Toggle.

Expand the functionality of the Mode switch on Rack, Floor and LT so you can toggle between 2 different fully customizable Command Center layouts. You can have all your snapshots and stomps set up how you like, hit the Mode switch and you have access to your hotkey/DAW controls or specific MIDI messages.

I really hope this is possible. It would greatly expand the possibilities of what you can do with Command Center which is a huge untapped feature for studio and live work. With the Send Note feature it could act like a Muse Kinetics 12 Step (or 8 step in this case) for the people who play foot pedal synths while playing their main instrument. I'm pretty sure Billy Sheehan does this and is also a Helix user. *wink wink*

hotkey/DAW controls

Fwiw, those should've been global to start with. Just makes no sense to sacrifice large parts of a patch just to control your DAW. Even worse that you have to do it over and over again, for each patch you're using. And obviously, those patches are then lost for live usage.
Really, quite a neat idea - but needed better implementation.

EHX Micro Synth/Bass Micro Synth?

-Classic pedals that people love and no one else is modeling.
-Might help sell some HX One units since it's almost half the size, don't have to worry about bumping sliders and could do some cool stuff with Flux.

328 amp models?!? I don't think I have the stamina to ever try out a Fractal device...

You learn to tune out the vast majority of them when you happen upon a couple you like for a given genre.

Think of it like having a Mesa Mark V or VII amp: Technically, there are a gazillion pull shifts, modes, channels and EQ/gain combinations. Yet, most people get a sweet spot or two and never touch the controls again.

I just rediscovered the Helix RectumFryer and its now my live amp unless I need the Poly Capo for the singer, in which case I go to the Tonex One. I'd love to see vintage, red, orange, modern, raw whatever switches are on the real thing
