Demhe Fuzz
A city crouches upon Lake Demhe’s shore, maybe it is Carcosa? Maybe it is Alar? Maybe it doesn’t matter? Once you have peered into Demhe’s cloudy depths, what lies upon the shore ceases to be a concern. The Demhe Fuzz features chunky lows and scintillating highs that can be tamed by the...www.spiralelectricfx.com

I get the impression it might be a Carcosa inspired kind of thing. It sounds great in the videos I've heard!
This is the pedal. It's a fuzz face of some description with Russian germanium transistors. Possibly a sunface clone? I can't see enough of the board to determine the capacitor values or see where the third pot is connected. I can't even make out the word under the third pot.
This is the pedal.
It was given to me by Jonny last year.
My envy is not even possible to describe in a human language.I just ordered one of these:
Yes, and more.I get the impression it might be a Carcosa inspired kind of thing.
Silicon or germanium? Where are you based?
I’m thinking silicon, but not too aggressive. Somewhere in the ballpark of the Dunlop teal Hendrix FF is where I’m aiming
Matched bc108s with hfe between 250 and 300. The unit which was traced by freestompboxes had matching hfes of 261 in each position. Five cats pedals in the UK do a PCB for the JHF1 or it'd be pretty easy to adapt a standard Fuzzface pcb or vero to accept the extra parts.
Thanks for the info!
Had one for a longer while, and it's a good start into the mkII realm. Sold due to noise issues tho. A bias/starve/gate knob, and I'd probably still have it.This thread inspired me to pull this guy out. I’d totally forgotten I owned this Lovepedal. I think it’s more or less tonebender inspired rather than a faithful recreation, but it sounds great and cleans up way better than any tonebender I’ve played. I’ve been using it though a Bassman head.

By the description, it works the same way as the input trim on the Twin Bender (fully clockwise is "stock" too). Very handy knob, that one.Interesting discovery tonight. I was having a look at Marcus Reeves page and read the description for his Facet Fuzz Face, specifically the part about the trim control.

Well the smooth control on Thorpy Tacit Blue, Veteran pedals and Analogmans clean trim pot on the sun face seem like they're basically the same control.
Just had a play with my tacit blue clone and the wah is actually pretty usable with the smooth pot knocked back to about 1 o'clock. It's not perfect but it's usable which is certainly better than any other experience I've had of using wah before a fuzz face.
I'm going to try it out at proper volume with my sun face and my thorpy clone at rehearsal tomorrow night. I'll report back![]()
