The Annual NAMM predictions rumours thread 2024

Hm. Well they definitely didn't blow it off either.

Well, there are many Fractal artists that were there...

And there's Red Sound / Lyon & Healy... Which happens to have a connection to Fractal, and there are a number of Fractal artists who are there demoing their gear...

I think the correct term is Murse

There's this updated flat panel speaker thing with FRFR, preamp, cab only, and amp and cab modes.

I’ve wondered about this for a while. I would love to hear an honest reaction from a trusted source about them.

Bro he’s clearly referring to the FM9 MkII. What’s the point of playing coy?

Ok, so let's assume it's a marketing stunt from NDSP. What's the purpose? Do they really gain attraction from potential new customers?

Mindshare advertising. Is the same reason why companies like IBM and Oracle fight to get their logo on stadiums.

Again, pretty smart for the $6,000 - $10,000 NDSP likely spent on booth space. NAMM organizers probably fucking hate it thou.

I'm not playing anything. And why would I? I don't work for them...

I understand what he's referring to.

Maybe Fractal is doing a stealth marketing campaign by allowing some artists / partners to use a yet to be released product?

That's not their typically M.O. and I was actually surprised when I saw the first picture posted.

But who knows? I guess that's a great way to get the benefit of going to NAMM without the headaches of actually going...

Funny, I busted their balls for going to NAMM last year while not just staying focused on getting shit done, however, I still want to give them shit this year. :rofl

I guess I just don't get their sense of humor? If it's a joke, it's aimed at pretty much their customer base and a small handful of naysayers on the internet. If it's for marketing, what's the desired result, people will look up NDSP and A) if they already know who NDSP is, see they're still just working on porting plug-ins 3 years later, or B) if they have no clue who NDSP is, look at it and say "Oh, some guitar shit"

I mean, NAMM isn't really the place you make people do homework to find out about your product. It's the complete opposite of that.

I think it's lame too, however that ^^^ is the third or fourth time the pic has been posted here (and subsequently NDSP talked about).
Then again, NDSP is talked about anyway. And there would be more talk if they'd shown even a controlled demo of Plini running on QC (since it's progressing super-well and coming out S O O N). Or if they had had Rabea and Plini performing a short set together on their booth. I don't believe for a second that they actually originally planned to do this. Something went tits up, and they came up with this.
