Then again, NDSP is talked about anyway. And there would be more talk if they'd shown even a controlled demo of Plini running on QC (since it's progressing super-well and coming out S O O N). Or if they had had Rabea and Plini performing a short set together on their booth. I don't believe for a second that they actually originally planned to do this. Something went tits up, and they came up with this.I think it's lame too, however that ^^^ is the third or fourth time the pic has been posted here (and subsequently NDSP talked about).

It's a pretty good pivot if their idea was to have SOON on day 1, then come in at day 2 but something prevented that. They spent little money, got a lot of online speculation for it and the name NeuralDSP is now on a lot of content. Then again, NDSP is talked about anyway. I'm thinking they had a proper booth planned with the S O O N sign as a bit of fun, but something went wrong with what they were actually supposed to do/show at the booth, so they came up with this. Didn't they have a super slick booth last time? It's a pretty good pivot if their idea was to have SOON on day 1, then come in at day 2 but something prevented that. I don't think they could have done that by demoing plugins on the QC, they can do that later and then be talked about again.

And it is working - here we all are, bickering on internet forums about it

I don't really follow social media (other than YouTube), so had no idea they were actually inviting people to stop by their booth. So something definitely went tits up last second. I would be really surprised if they didn't mean to have Rabea and Plini performing at their booth since both were attending NAMM.I mean, 2 days before NAMM they were still asking people to show up and say hello on their FB page. Now let's hypothetically say there's just a handful of not yet too commited potential NAMM visitors finally deciding to go there because they thought it'd be great to have a little (customer or business related doesn't matter) chatter with NDSP. If I was such a person, I'd shove that SOON sign straight up... well, you know where.
Putting up a huge "SOON" sign at NAMM tracks perfectly with the kind of advertising Neural is known for. And it is working - here we all are, bickering on internet forums about it
Outside of those of us on the internet who are aware of NDSP's "SOON" shenanigans, who is this marketing directed to? How does this lead to a positive thing for NDSP?
I would imagine this would be most people's reaction passing bye that boothThis is my point of confusion over the whole marketing aspect-

I mean an actual example of someone who is unaware or vaguely aware of NDSP, walking by that big ass SOON display, what does this do for them?
Neural are using NAMM for (cheap) billboard space - on the world's largest music trade show event.
Really going out on a limb here.He Must have been Drunk
Maybe it would make them curious enough to find out? This is my point of confusion over the whole marketing aspect-

I agree, and I really wish Steve Vai would stop making public appearances with my Jems.LOL, Eddie said in an interview he cut the piece of that destroyer's lower body off for a photo shoot and the guitar never sounded right again. I've never gotten wanting gear that looks like it belongs to someone else.
Sascha wins.It says "No OS!"
Eww, humans.Better yet, a phone number where I know I'll be able to speak to human that knows the product well within 24-48 hours.
