Any cool resources out there for copping Randy's tones on the first two Ozzy albums? I know the basics. Marshall
Superleads and JBL-loaded Cabs. Just curious if anyone has come across any cool tutorials on aiming for Randy's
tone. And yes, I know a lot of people thought his tone sucked. Whatever.
I am specifically curious about his use of the MXR Distortion + and an MXR 10 Band EQ he ran in front of the
Marshalls.
Also, wondering about Pitch Detune and/or a Doubler, since he triple-tracked the guitars in the studio according
to Max Norman.
Any help, or resources to share is greatly appreciated.
Always loved Randy growing up. Learned a lot of the Ozzy tunes as a young pup, and am now playing with a
Drummer who can Tommy Aldridge/Lee Kerslake the fuck out of a kit and we are revisiting that material.
