Potential Mesa Reissues? IIC+ and Dual Rec

IIc+ using those Bugera Molex connectors :love :chef
Yep, very much like the extremely low cost Behringer tube amps.
Even Peavey moved on from these fire hazard connectors with the newer 6505 reissues.
Looks like Gibson are making their PCBs as cheaply as possible, I mean top soldered high voltage lines... :wat
No way this is passing the new European regulations.

IIRC; I actually fixed my own burnt out connector on my 6260!

Yep, the PCB and wiring looks exactly like this "GIBSON BRANDS" on the Falcon reissue above, with top soldering wires and solder-less push-in connectors on the high current POWER lines no less.
Are those failing though? I could see there being benefits to not having to solder off a pile of cables if the transformer needs replacing or you want to pull the board.

The premise that they are only needs to hold for a few more weeks :nails

The power transformer has a plug-in connector then right? Is there risk of melting the plastic? 4090 video cards had this issue too, but this was resolved recently.
Yes, looks like the PT has these solderless push-in "knife" connectors on the input and output of the transformer, including the high voltage side.
I don't know how reliable these particular connectors are but history shows that they are very much not.
Can you image what happens when a high voltage (350vAC) wire pops out of its solderless 'knife' socket?

Yes.
Even cheap ass Peavey moved away from these 'knife' connectors, the PT and power lines are all Spade connectors and all the Molex connector pins are crimped.

Oh, indeed, looks like the pre-Gibson Mesa is using the same connectors for the PT.
I want people to be happy with their amps so I'm going to stop, but in my opinion these connectors are garbage because they fail with plenty of evidence.
Maybe this specific brand of connector is much sturdier? I still don't trust it.

My biggest Mesa fear is if something goes wrong; there are no techs closeby. Other than the turd about an hour and a half away who, right after COVID; stated he would purposely push Mesa warranty repair work to the back of his pile.
