Potential Mesa Reissues? IIC+ and Dual Rec

Mesa doing damage control lol…

These seem a bit better than the original videos, at least for more aggressive tones. Still noticing that treble knob never breaks 7. There’s obviously no rule that treble needs to be at 10 for the brutalz on these but 7 seems a little low and IMO yeah can hear it in these videos.

Not trying to be rude here, but they need to get a dude who knows why that amp has the rep it has and can actually put it through its paces. Why is this dude so involved with these demo videos?!
They are at least getting better. They seem to be very shy with that treble knob, which is def part of the secret sauce for the tightest and most articulate heavy tones.

Why are Ola, Fluff, Leon, Kyle and the rest of the typical high-gain YouTube crowd not releasing demos of this thing?

Doug Doppler saves the day?

He signed up here last year but said he needed a bit more time before he started posting regularly. I should hit him up and try to entice him with my vivacious curves. Whenever I get the chance/remember I put on his livestream on Saturday’s while I’m getting stuff done around the apartment or in my studio. Seems like quite the wholesome dude and he definitely should have been demo’ing this amp before many others who have.

Nice guy, great player. I want his garage! :rofl

I feel like Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross. "These are the good leads settings."

This is my Mark III. I'd love to hear a IIC reissue with this setup. Presence on the back is at 3, as the manual recommends. All knobs but the bass and middle knobs are pulled.

Yep almost exactly how I have my III dialed in within a digit. On the stomp geq in the loop I have the 240hz slightly cut as well

Will also add such settings still result in a beautiful sparkly clean tone as well
Sort of. For my taste it’s a little driven and pingy. I prefer to bring the bass knob up a bit and treble down a touch for cleans, but it’s still very usable in a live setting. Maybe even preferred in a live setting over a super clean sound.

Same - it’s the Achilles heel of the circuit. The clean wants the fuller bass and the lead wants you to starve the bass.

I often wish the bass shift only applied to the clean channel.
