They got it as close as they could but even in the official Mesa video they say there are things they had to change. The main reasons being parts not available anymore, so they've done some reworking to get it "as close" to the original as possible.

Honestly I'm sure it's 1:1 for the sound quality. They make amazing amps.

+1. They’re also not amps for mass appeal, they want to keep it exclusive and desirable. Scarcity will give it value.
