Potential Mesa Reissues? IIC+ and Dual Rec

Rob Thomas jokes aside - honestly I’m slightly baffled as to how any guitar player could not like Santana at least a little bit :idk

I know Black Magic Woman and Smooth. That's literally it afaik? I think that is my biggest Santana problem? When I think of Santana and guitar; my favorite contribution of his is giving us Neal Schon.

Or at least some period of his music. I'm not much of a fan overall, but in late 72 my old man bought a new 1973 Grand Prix, special ordered, and it arrived in late 72. It was too new for the model year, so it had a 1972 8-track mix tape, with only 2 rock songs on it.

And my father would always skip this song, which I absolutely LOVED! And still do. From Abraxas.

The only Santana story I have is a friend of mine went and saw Andy Summers solo gig back during the Santana/Rob Thomas days in a small club. Somehow Carlos came up in the convo between my friend and Mr. Summers and Andy went on a rant about how terrible Santana was :cuss:rofl
I'd take Santana over Andy "What's his name?" any day.

We should ALL be Santana fans, because without him, Mesa Boogie AND PRS might not even exist today.

Think about it. (Assuming you know how they're all linked, and the role he played in both getting going.)
And rock and roll wouldn't exist without Chuck Berry. But somehow Chuck didn't end up in my top 15 in Apple Music this year. In other words, acknowledge value and ground broken, but otherwise zero fucks given.
