Do you actually use high and low cuts for live playing with the ownhammer Essentials packs? I have the feeling that I don't need them at all, especially with the file named "live".
Or should you set the high cut at 12000 as a precaution?
If you have a thing at or above 12K that is going to be a problem live, you should be able to hear that pretty easily before the gig. Monitor it loud over studio monitors and headphones both in isolation and over recorded stuff similar to what you’ll be doing live. Dial into that, and if you’re still worried give yourself some insurance with less bass and less upper high. Careful on the upper highs though, upper mids through highs is what gets you heard in a mix.
Generally, I dial in on the bright/cutting side. If at a gig I find it’s a little too much for the mix, I roll my tone knob on my guitar back until it isn’t.
