But in my defense, I saved a bunch of foam wrapping from my last kitchen cabinet install, and it came in very handy on Friday (I even remembered to grab it from home), using it to wrap part of the scaffolding to help slide the "beam wrap box" (top part in the picture) up onto the top level, without scratching it.

So every now and again, that saved stuff comes in handy!

Definitely. We save foam all the time and keep at the shop. Stuff gets expensive.

Also funny you posted that wall @TSJMajesty , we have a project coming up with the same kind of fireplace wall and height, but we'll be slatting it with solid walnut. I like the look of that green one too.

The fucked up part though, is this is the 7th time that scaffold has been set up/broken down, because my boss, Rob, has too many balls in the air (he's my drummer buddy whom I've known/played with, since early 80's), including 2 bands, so he's terrible at organizing jobs. It's like pulling teeth to get him to let go of the site management, and let me take over (which I'm extremely good at!)

Plus, I could've managed the job, even while I was recovering from my broken heel. But instead, I just sat home and played lots of guitar, and returned to all sorts of shit that had been skipped over! (That stained trim should've been installed long before now.)

It was real fun working around those ceiling fans, which should've been installed LAST!!

But that whole project was really cool!

Definitely! Given the amount of gear that I’ve moved, I keep all the foam and packing materials I can. That stuff is expensive to buy in small quantities.
