Yeah that dude in the pic is just lazy. I got a locking tonneau cover on my 2004 F150 for when I'm hauling amps and P.A. equipment, speakers etc. I don't haul no drums though. The drummer can take care of his own shit.

Anyways the tonneau cover has folding accordion sections and I can flip open one or all of the sections and/or tailgate if I'm hauling something longer like wood or pipe. Lots of tie-downs in the bed, and I carry red rags to put on anything that hangs out beyond the tailgate.

I've had locking or rolling locking tonneau covers on most pickups.

They work well to to keep pieces of lumber longer than the bed from shifting left and right, but I still tie them down for safety.

I do love Arizona though.....had a progeny that lived there once.....I went to pick them up and brought them home, we camped at the grand canyon....not the main campground though....the one like 20 miles Away, but still in the park...

Just being a ding dong. Love the desert.....just not the heat. I also appreciated the light pollution awareness in the Tuscon area.
