My nephew died from a similar situation. Tried going through a sliding glass patio door. Falling glass cut him real bad, drove himself to the Emergency room, he died being transferred to a Trauma center because that ER would not do anything for him!

My goodness, that's awful. Very sad.
I got lucky. Similar situation, I ran "through" a sliding glass door. The falling glass hit my left leg and a few spots on one arm. Most cuts were on my lower thigh and slightly below the knee area. Happened so fast, shocked me. I was around 13 I think.

I don't understand getting jabbed. I cut my strings very close to the shaft, then never go near them again. I mean, yeah, I tune, but I would have to not be looking at the tuner when I reach for it, to get bit.

A few times I didn't have my cutter handy, so I just wiggled the string back and forth until it broke off, leaving no point at all. And no, the string never slipped out of the post later on.

And when I change strings, I grab it by the long part, well away from the tuners. Idk...

Idk, just last month I was restringing my nephew’s stray and jabbed my finger, then I I was bleeding on his fretboard lmao I cleaned it up but the remainder of the guitar lesson was me pushing through that lol

Yer lucky. I was restringing a stray once and the fucker bit my leg!
