Official Original (LOL) Funny Picture Thread! \m/

The story is real. It is about a small match making business that is selling $200 sessions where singles mingle and touch in a managed group setting. The owner and clients are of course batshit crazy, but we are talking about NY and LA types, so what is the surprise? You can probably fill a room in NY or LA with 20 people who paid you for whatever crazy service you could dream up.
Sure, I wasn't expressing disbelief. I see and hear far far stranger things on a daily basis. I'm just talking about the perils of elevating articles like these to the same status as "news stories". (Which was apparently not Fuzzy's meaning to begin with.)

Yeah, I definitely wasn't trying to elevate the article. :rofl

Mostly mocking and laughing inside at the silliness (true or not). I don't peruse yahoo news either, it just happened to pop up somewhere else.

I can almost understand the motivation behind this stringing "method". The first time I had to restring a guitar with vintage split shafts, I was soooooo frustrated and couldn't figure it out. This was before the Internet was publicly available.

After my guitar instructor, Chris Juergensen (https://juergensenmusic.com/bio), taught me the proper way to use them, they quickly became my favorite. Now I can restring a split shaft guitar faster than one with locking tuners.

Split shafts are cool, and there’s no pointy bits ready to jab your finger lol

I don't understand getting jabbed. I cut my strings very close to the shaft, then never go near them again. I mean, yeah, I tune, but I would have to not be looking at the tuner when I reach for it, to get bit.

A few times I didn't have my cutter handy, so I just wiggled the string back and forth until it broke off, leaving no point at all. And no, the string never slipped out of the post later on.

And when I change strings, I grab it by the long part, well away from the tuners. Idk... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
