Nobels coming in the Axe

I was having a "let's talk shit about how hard our lives are" coffee with a dad of another autistic kid in my son's class and he described his son as being "the scorekeeper for an intense multi-year, class-wide competition that nobody but him knows is going on" which made me laugh and also immediately think of D&M forums.

Pretty flippin’ insightful remark …

Hopefully at some point we all learned that regardless of the game, you still gotta do you 👍

Ugh. I just lost The Game.
Oh, but the twist is The Game never ends!!!

Moreover, Fender's TMP contains a Nobels ODR-1BC. I suspect that may have been the one in Cliff's graphs. 🕵️‍♂️

Yeah, I’m really curious about that too, as well as the Klon model comparison. I’d be surprised if Helix were much off the mark, because a number of people have done A/B comparisons with both of the real pedals to the Helix models, and it’s near indistinguishable. I suspect both are the TMP.

It can very well be the QC. Cliff uploaded a number of aliasing and latency measurements for it a couple years ago... which weren't great.

Hmmm, interesting. It definitely doesn't appear to be Helix Native, because this is Helix's Klon with "everything at noon," with a full sine sweep from 20 to 20kHz. Looks pretty clean.

(The shape is different than Cliff's plots because the freq scale here is logarithmic, while his was linear Whoops, no his isn’t. Didn’t look close enough. My bad! I had some wonky settings in SPAN for this—fixed here):
