I was referring to DI’s “fun twist”. It would have to be pretty spectacular twist to make an IR loader “fun”. Useful, perhaps. Fun, not so sure.

Yeah, for cab IRs I'm all with you. Not going down that rabbit hole more than absolutely necessary anymore.
Long IRs are an entirely different beast, though.
