What are you guys using for capturing amps, between a head and cab? Kemper makes a DI that looks like it'd work well.

I use a fractal X-Load or the line out of the PS100 for the DI feed. In both cases, I have a 4x12 connected to the speaker thru of the load box, so the 4x12 is the real speaker load. The X-Load/PS100 are great on their own, but I like the idea of using a 4x12 to load down the amp.

Mine crashes every time I try to access the downloads folder with pedals enabled in the view. I've done reboots as well as reinstalled Cortex Control. Nothing fixes it.

Anything you can duplicate that consistently should be reported to NDSP. (By way of email; posting on Discord is like p***ing in the wind.)

Yes, definitely if you can recreate it, reach out to their support. That's how they kicked off my repair and if it's a software bug they could log it and have the developers investigate to fix.

Thank you! Xtreme mode is really sick - it sounds more open than IIC mode to me, and it lends well to low tunings. I know there’s some sick Adam Jones tones in here that I need to find that I’ll upload if I do lol

Wow. I wasn’t going to say anything, but I recently ordered a QC and had it for only a few days before I sent it back. It was constantly crashing and losing connection. I even purchased some captures for it and trying to get them to load was a huge pain.

I’ve never used control…but loading captures can’t be easier imho…i select something on my iPad in cortex cloud on the couch…walk to my studio..boot up..and it all downloads automatically

They are talking about getting ones you paid for from a vendor. That is not easy

Interesting. I've found that pretty easy.

I follow them, they follow me, they send me the capture/preset and it just shows up in my account as available for download.

I suppose it might be a pain if the vendor is slow though.

It wasn’t that, it was getting it to load to play each capture. I would go to my downloads and it would not load to preview so I could try each one out. It would lag or lose connection. I tried for hours. I tried on the unit itself and the cloud.

Yeah it has the potential to be very blah compared to say Kemper where you just get a zip file to download right away.

I also think if you don't download them and they sit in shared, they will eventually be unavailable to you? But I think the timeout is quite some time. Regardless, I still have my zip files from Kemper profile from years ago

But yeah, again, just something that could be more efficient

These were new captures from a vendor. I could see them in my download folder but when I tried try each one, it wouldn’t load, it would lag or drop connection. Maybe I was doing something wrong or my unit was bad. Who knows.

I'm buying the NC as soon as they expand the modulation, delay and reverb options. I'm totally fine with fixed path, and even fine with no boost/OD (I'll just use a Tumnus), but I really, really need more options otherwise. With access to every Mesa, Marshall, and Orange at the shop, as well as a few vintage Fenders, it's kind of a no-brainer for me, for a tiny rig.
