Since we're talking about modeling vs captures a little, what are some of you guys' favorite amp models in the QC? You can include PCOM stuff if you want. And what kind of stuff/genre/gain do you like those models for?
I guess in fairness you can post what models you especially dislike as well.

My favorite was Nameless, and I liked the Kraken model and the 5150 model which found to be comparable to Gojira. I also jived a bit with the JPIIC model but not as much. All for high gain metal. 2000s thrash and death metal is kind of my holy grail tone, but I was in high school then so that makes sense lol

I used the factory captures of the ENGL Blackmore (mostly the high gain captures eg #5) way too much for a few years, but I’ve just discovered the Kraken channel 2 model, and I’m loving it. Obviously much more versatile than any one capture, and it’s somehow more “forward” and present versus the smoothness of the Blackmore, if that makes any sense?

That would be actually interesting. Build a tube factory in some small town in Finland where land costs nothing and people are desperate for work.

Was really happy with my tone last night at rehearsal. Used the QC mainly for effects in front of my 5153. I put my mt2 waza in a loop of the qc so I could put it after the pitch stuff. Mainly used the mt2 as a sorta boost for the blue channel on the 5153. I added a hm2 capture that goes on w my momentary octave up to make it more annoying lol. Even though the delays and reverbs were before the amp I thought it still sounded good.
The side chain gate. Going to have to try a few more settings but where to you usually set it on? Input or input follow or on the gain block or ?

Thought I was going to end up with a QC this weekend when someone was looking to trade one for an amp. I figured it’d be easier for me to move the QC than it will be for the Electra Dyne, but the dude only reacted to my messages with heart emojis, so I dunno WTF he’s thinking. I was so hoping I could start Monday off with a “Guess what?” post that would surely shock a few.

I still have that "plugin gift card" from owning a QC - if the plugin turns out to be good, it'll grab it. Was holding out for when the Fortin Evil Pumpkin plugin drops though.
If true...yay? A Devin Townsend Archetype feels more like a recurring meme answer that gets regurgitated every time they pop up a new "SOON" post rather than anything the market is desperate for. I used his two Fractal patches once or twice, but there was no "unobtanium" in them there hills.
Also, any plugins are just going to spotlight what a disaster "PCOM" has been as users will have to wait quite awhile to be able to use it on their QC.
