NDSP Quad Cortex

Probably not all of them. Just the subpar ones I hope. Like the Diezel VH4 and the Recto.
Depends on how much of a pain in the ass it's to setup each amp to work with TINA.

You'd think they'd pick up the pace when they get some routine and find out a process that works...but this is NeuralDSP we are talking about.

So, as I understand it, the "synth" in this firmware is really just a suboctave fuzz/ring mod-sounding thing, right?

Does that mean QC synth capabilities will stay pay walled behind the Rabea plugin?

It pretty much sounds like an octaver which we I think they had enough of to be fair
Consider they also added the boss octaver as well

The new Boss Octave and SUB `synth` ( it`s not a synth) Octave sounds different, and act a bit different. I like them more then I thought I would. With a good fuzzy/dirt pedal in front, it gives me a flatline/cave in fuzz kind of sound, it`s really nasty sounding. More nasty the the old octaver we have in the QC

Looks like NAM's reach has been extended :rofl

Really really bored of hearing the kind of hackeneyed fusion nonsense like the intro song here. Ughhhh. Bowel. Absolute 80's retro revival drivel bowel.

Hahahah what sounded like that in the 80’s? The tone I can see, it’s that ultra processed/might as well be a synth tone, but musically it just sounded like all that dude from Intervals….that also reminds me of the Polyphia guys….who also remind me of that Plini dude. Just like all the djent bands that popped up with Periphery, put on a Tesseract tune or 90% of other bands from that era and I couldn’t tell you the difference between them.

I’m definitely anxious for the split-coil/low gain tone to go away. Now I know how GenX and boomers felt when the 90’s rolled around and everyone started playing Dual Recs/PRS.

So far I've only tried the Nameless amp. It's pretty good. Feels like the unit takes more time to boot though but overall good.

I need to spend more time with it.
I know the Nameless "does the thing" and it might just not be "my thing" but it always just sounds so thin to me.

I'm sure it can be made to sound fuller though

I wasn't impressed when I tried it, which is why I never bought it. I found the Fortin Cali way better.

There's a learning curve to dialing it in but Gain 2 seems to have a bright switch/cap that's always engaged so the trick to dialing out the "thinness" is to push Gain 2 past ~ 2 o'clock. Gain1 acts more as an overall saturation (traditional gain pot) afterwards. I usually adjust Gain2 to shape how fat or sharp I need to amp to sound and the use Gain1 to get close to the amount of saturation I need.
Cranking the Bass dial all the way up also helps on this amp as it doesn't get flubby even when dialed in like this. This amp takes a lot of "weird" EQ moves pretty well (like Bass full tilt, Mids @ 2 o'clock, treble back at 9 o'clock and Presence @ 3 o'clock).
I like it a lot.
