I traded two pedals for one of those oversized Marshall Mode Four cabinets. I wired it to 4 ohms to go with my old Bassman. I put two Celestion G12Ms in the top and two Jensen C12Rs in the bottom.

Running the Bassman at 3 is crazy loud. Sounds full and meaty. I’m digging it.

Celestion G12M sensitivity is 98dB
Jensen C12R sensitivity is 92.3dB

It’s a bad match. The Jensens are barely audible. I think I’m going to switch them out for G12T-75s. They may be good to mic though.

An old roommate had this cab and it sounded great. In particular it had something unique going on for heavier and/or detuned tones.

Jensens to T75s that’s a big jump lol. Too bad the Jensens didn’t pan out, would have been a cool mix with the g12ms.

Cool cabs. They have a unique baffle compared to other Marshalls and they have nice construction. Good score - Get some K100's back in there!

On my bucket list is to be in the middle of one of these with Greenbacks and an OS Mesa 4x12 with V30s :guiness

I do have a quad of K85s with i believe are the same thing.
Yeah same thing. Not sure how much difference 8 vs 16 ohm are with those speakers but I'm pretty sure the cabinet design was based around the characteristics of those speakers. Worth a go if you have them already!

I have a quad of the G12K-85s and a quad of Vintage 30s. I think I’m going to do some speaker swaps and maybe do 2 of each in this cabinet.

It’s not really a great fit with being 4 ohms only. I’d like to use it with my other heads. I’m going to look for one of those Marshall stereo switch plates for this one.
