Namm 2025 predictions

I think you're right. I really do. In fact, I think they'd be stupid not to do a modified line, with a Plexi and an 800. But their bigger sellers right now are the Studio line, and the next logical amp would be the 900, right? So maybe we're getting a modified 800 big guy, and a Studio series 900? Could happen.
I have zero interest in an officially modded Marshall when they are one of the most cloned and available amps on the market. That is, unless the price point in the US is more aggressive than say a Friedman?

Yeah no. I have a feeling they'll be pretty expensive. Maybe cheaper than a Friedman of equivalent wattage, but much more than the regular reissues.

Doubt it for you guys.
For us in Europe, a modded Marshall will probably still be way cheaper than a Friedman. Any Friedman. Even the 100W JCM800 is cheaper than the 20W Friedmans..

Who are the folks that want a 20W JCM900 though? The JCM900 to me is the cheap Marshall you bought on the used market because it was all you could afford. I remember them going for peanuts over here, even the SLX stuff was cheap.

Of course that doesn't stop Marshall making another one.

The modded line is certainly more interesting as that's where Friedman, Bogner etc have been eating Marshall's lunch for years, and they've never been able to push e.g the JVM to be perceived in the same category.

I have no idea who'd want one. But yes, that doesn't stop them from releasing one. A 20w JVM Studio that competes with the Runt 20 and Pink Taco would be way cooler.

Rhetorical but - The 4100 still exists as a current production amp - what’s happening here?? Maybe they found something else they could fit into all the unsold 4100 chassis.
Yeah I'm not exactly sure. Wouldn't surprise me if they move production of them to Vietnam and get the cost down a bit. Not really an amp to be precious about at all. Maybe as an alternative to the DSL it might offer something? For someone who wants a "proper" Marshall, I don't think anyone is going to pay a premium for this for a UK build in the way they might for a JTM45/1959/2203/Jubilee.

I would say a JVM is technically a modded Marshall the orange channels are like a hot rod 800
The difference is that it's not a straight up modded Plexi or JCM800...which is what many people are looking for. Even though the JVM could do those sort of tones and more.

The new full sized heads are UK, and they’ve got nothing to do with a 900.

So these aren’t a 20W JCM900?
