Kinda want but also never played one. I KNOW it’s not a IIC! lol. What would yall offer on this? It’s a seller with a bunch of rando shit so I’m assuming they’re not musicians and it may be in need of service.

That looks like it’s had the loop mod added, which will get a IIB pretty darn close to a IIC+.

In today’s market $1300 is actually pretty reasonable. If it was near me I’d jump on it. Could maybe offer $1100 just to see if he bites. That loop mod is a couple hundred bucks on its own.

Pretty sure that loop mod was done at the factory. You may be able to provide Mesa the serial number - they may have specifics.

That's a great price by today's standards. I wouldn't even try to haggle because that'll sell quick and he might move on to the next person without even considering countering.

But I'd ask for a chassis photo. The added control for the loop mod is missing, so it's had some work done after the fact

is the slave jack generally removed for the loop mod?

tbh.. i use my slave out, i'd be bummed not to have it- its great to tie in another power amp/cab if you need another flavor or more output for a big stage or something. or just for fun

Oh jeez, I saw the post fx level label and didn’t notice the actual level knob is MIA. Definitely worthy of further investigation. I have a hard time believing someone would remove that mod after the fact but it is strange the volume knob isn’t there.

That’s a good price. I just paid 300 more for an 83 just like that but with out the GEQ. The MS-12 speaker sounds great and is pretty rare these days.

tbh.. i use my slave out, i'd be bummed not to have it- its great to tie in another power amp/cab if you need another flavor or more output for a big stage or something. or just for fun

He's done it a few different ways. I had him put a variant of that mod in a IIA, and it has the slave control moved to one of the 4-ohm jacks
