Mesa Boogie Grill Cloth Question

Anyone ever removed BLACK mesa cloth from a cab? If yes, was the surface behind the cloth painted black, grey, etc., or unpainted?

Gonna do my cab and wanna get it right.

Not sure about Mesa but most should be painted black. Depends on the cloth but more times than not when the light hits directly on it you'd be able to see the baffle wood. Painted flat black is ideal for that reason.

That's what I have a can of but figured I'd ask just in case someone knows for sure it's different. Wanna match the baffle of the V:25 as close as possible.
