Load box with a cab?

Yes you can. Think of the loadbox as another cab and match impedance as if you were connecting two cabs.

Alternatively, just use the through jack on your loadbox to connect to a cab. Then you use the jack you normally use with the loadbox.

Sure, as long as the combined impedance is within spec. I don't understand _why_ you would want to do that, though.

It’s a way to knock 3db off the top without needing to reamp or have a separate attenuator. If you have an impedance mismatch, you can reduce volume a little bit more and get more breakup out of an amp that can handle it. Works great to get dirt out of BF Fenders while being slightly less obnoxiously loud.

If you daisy chain the Suhr and real cab, the Suhr just becomes a Line Out box. If your amp has a line out you can use either one and get the same signal.

If you run them in parallel, like has been said, treat the reactive load like a separate 8 ohm cab. Pair with another 8 ohm cab and use two 4 ohm outs on your amp to balance the impedance.

Does the Suhr RL have a decent cab emulation or maybe and IR loader? I currently have the Boss Waza TAE Core. It’s cool but I am thinking it may be way more than what I am going to use it for.

Edit: On second thought, it does exactly what I want plus has reamp capability and a built in power amp for at home noodling if I want. I think I will just keep it.

It’s got what you need 💯

This is actually a valid question that was presented by OP.
I have a 100W Soldano head that I use with a Waza TAE. The unit works amazing for keeping things quieter at home and it actually preserves the amps feel through the monitors and through my 1x12 cabinet without annihilating everyone around me.

The issue is when I play live with the full tube head, I want to also run direct to our PA system. With the Thru on the Waza, I'm limited to 30W out which is fine for a smaller club for monitoring but not for a larger venue. I was thinking I could run the Waza out of one speaker tap on the amp and the cabinet out of the other speaker tap. The problem is The Waza tap is an 8ohm out and the 1x12 is a 16 ohm speaker. So I can't run them together at the same time. Sure I can change the speaker for an 8ohm and then run them both without issue, but I don't want to do that. The convenience of the xls outs on the waza is great as are the FX.

What I'm going to end up doing is taking the line out of the Soldano which is after the power amp and run that to my TC IR pedal and then to the PA. The other option is to bring the Waza and run the left XLR to my EV-PXM and right XLR to the board.

Again, most of the time I use the X88-IR and I love that unit like no other I have had but there are times when I really enjoy using the full head as well.

If you wanted to add another piece you could a Weber Z-matched or Radial Cab Link. It almost seems easier to just change the speaker to match the needed impedance in your case.
