Load box started squealing last night

Ground loops come and go. Worst are my JMP and JMP type amps for that.
Sometimes only two ground lifts (IK capture box)help. Other times something like the lowly 20 bucks Behringturd Hum Destroyer takes care of it.

All sorts of things could take something on the edge and push it over. For example, neighborhood AC units shut off and wall voltage goes up a few volts, a source of interference gets turned on, a component gets hot, etc. or maybe a tube is starting to fail or...

I would start trouble shooting by seeing if it happens today, and then changing things one at a time, starting with moving the guitar and the Suhr further away from the amp, removing the hot mod, turning down presence and then treble, checking for microphonic tubes...and yes, try the ground lift cable in there somewhere.

Ok, so far so good!

Plugged the amp into a cab.....turned the guitar's volume up and it sounded totally fine. (It also sounded fucking FANTASTIC and not like what I have dialed in for the cabs now in my Fractal.....damn I wish I didn't hear that!)

Plugged it back into the load box, cranked it, played a bit, all good, no noises or squeaking or anything. The amp has been on for about 20 minutes plugged into the load box, no weird sounds at all.

Definitely assuming it was a ground loop or some weird electrical thing. Alas, my amp and load box are SAFE!!!

Thank you guys, appreciate the input and feedback!!!!

It might be worth it to invest in a Isolation Transformer to place it between the Load Box and your Audio Interface.

I got one of these kicking around the campus I can probably get my electrician to wire up, but I doubt my apartment is running on 480 like our buildings are. :rofl

Dude Lehle P Split (will double as re-amp), or even Behringturd Hum Destroyer if need be.

It’s not something you fix any other way.

Some times simple things work.
Try a passive Bugera power soak .
I’ve been dragging one around with me for ages because it just works 👍
