All three are on sale now for $129. Red, Black and Bass. That’s an incredible price for a passable backup rig that fits in your gig bag. Plus a sweet headphone travel companion when needed. Bought the Red and Black. An administrative error led to me getting both for $129.
Thinking hard about the bass unit. I’m not a bass player but I have a bass and this would be nice for writing/recording bass parts to go along with my efforts in the home studio. Anybody care to join in on opinions about the Bass or Black version?
I think using these along with a One pedal could be neat. Perhaps using it for high quality delays, reverbs or a compressor. The Pod Express and One are my only Line 6 products. I’ve tried L6 before but they never gelled with me. The PE does however.
The editor is just fantastic and I run it on my iPad. Very handy to get your presets tweaked. I do wish I could find definitions for all of the advanced amp parameters. Most are obvious but, to me anyway, I’d like to know more about “ripple” “hum” “bias excursion” etc. If anyone has a link that would be sweet and appreciated!
What a whole lot of bang for $129. I’d pay $199 for these if they had metal enclosures and an aux-in or Bluetooth editing/music playback.
Good job Line 6… you finally got some of my money. Now, put that level of editing in the Yamaha THR-III along with user loadable IR’s and put out a metal pedal version with full BT, Aux-in, headphone out and effects loop. Pretty please. The old MagicStomp is long overdue for a refresh with modern modeling.
